To perform level 2 ASP work, they also need to pass the accreditation process headed by the NSW Accredited Service Provider (ASP) program. This scheme allows accredited organisations to do contestable work on the state’s electrical distribution network. By meeting these requirements, they can work according to standards set by the Gas and Electricity (Consumer Safety) Act 2017 and the Gas and Electricity (Consumer Safety) Regulation 2018.
